Release date

The Ranchers launches into Steam Early Access on July 30, 2026. Ahead of that, a free demo was available during Steam Next Fest earlier in the year, letting players try the core loop. The developers have said they expect Early Access to run for around six months before the full 1.0 release.

Early Access means the game will be playable and feature-rich at launch, but still evolving — expect new content, balance changes and fixes throughout the period.

Platforms

At Early Access launch, The Ranchers targets:

• PC (Windows)
• macOS
• Linux / SteamOS

Console and mobile versions have been mentioned as planned to follow. A companion mobile app for the in-game auction market has also been referenced, separate from a full mobile port.

System requirements

The Steam page lists modest minimum requirements for the PC version — broadly an Intel Core i3-class CPU, 8 GB of RAM, a GeForce GTX 660-level GPU and around 10 GB of storage.
